School Board
The School Board is responsible for the financial management and future planning of the school. It administers all the finances associated with the school and is responsible to the Catholic Education Commission of Western Australia.
Notre Dame Catholic Primary School Board Members for 2012 are:
Board Chairperson: Glenn Dickson
Glenn has been involved with various School Boards since 2008 and has served as a member and Chairperson on the Notre Dame School Board (Cloverdale), Interim Board (in preparation for the amalgamation) and the current Notre Dame Catholic School Board.
Glenn brings to the Board a background in business, IT and experience implementing software for educational environments.
He is a past student of Notre Dame and has, over the past 30 years, maintained a close connection with both the parish and school. Glenn and his wife Julia have 3 boys, two of whom currently attend Notre Dame.
Board Vice Chairperson: Warren Mack
Warren and Kim Mack have three boys who have all attended Notre Dame Catholic Primary School. The two older boys are now in high school at Ursula Frayne Catholic College and the youngest is in pre-primary. Warren has been involved with the school since 1998 and spent two years on the P & F in 2003 and 2004.
In 2008, Warren became a member of the School Board of Notre Dame School and stayed on through the Interim Board (in preparation for the amalgamation) where he occupied the position of Board Treasurer. In 2012 he was elected Vice Chairperson.
He is currently self employed and has been running a chauffeur business since 2007. Prior to this, Warren worked as a payroll officer with Royal Perth Hospital for 16 years.
Secretary: Diane Piper
Diane Piper joined the Notre Dame Primary School P & F in 2003 and held the positions of Committee Member, Vice President and President. After joining the School Board in 2008, she continued to hold a role on the Interim Board, including Chairperson of the Uniform Sub-committee for the amalgamated school. Currently, Diane is Secretary of the School Board.
Diane was a past student of Holy Name Primary School and she currently attends Notre Dame Parish with her family. She has two children, a son who has completed his primary education at Notre Dame and a daughter who is currently in Year 4.
Outside of her commitments to the school, Diane works as a midwife at King Edward Memorial Hospital and also assists her husband in his chauffeur business.
Treasurer: Michelle McKeown
Michelle was elected to the School Board in 2011. In past years, Michelle has spent time as Secretary and Committee Member on the Notre Dame P & F.
For nine years, Michelle was on the committee at the Carlisle Victoria Park Toy Library in a variety of positions including President, Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary.
Michelle and her husband Brad have three children. Her eldest attends St Brigid’s College in Lesmurdie and the two boys attend Notre Dame Catholic Primary School.
Board Member: Allan Pierotti
Allan moved to Perth from the UK in 2002 and became an Aussie citizen earlier this year. He is a self-employed taxi driver specialising in the transportation of people with disabilities.
Allan became involved with the School Board in 2009 when his son first enrolled at school. He has a new found appreciation for the hard work that the teaching staff at Notre Dame Catholic Primary School do , having seen how much of their own time they put in during the amalgamation in 2010.
He feels privileged to have been involved in a small way and to have had the opportunity to give a little something back to the community in which he lives.
Board Member: Mary Smee
Mary is proud to be part of the Notre Dame
Catholic Primary School community and over
the years has had the privilege of being
involved in various capacities, including
Parent Representative, Uniform Committee,
P&F Secretary, Fete Committee and Parent
Assisted Learning. Maryʼs role on the Board
gives her a new opportunity to serve the
school community.
Mary and her husband Daniel have been blessed with two wonderful children, Shania who commenced at Ursula Frayne this year, and Dylan who is in Year 5P at Notre Dame.
As well as her love for family, friends and fresh coffee - Mary is well known as a passionate and loyal Fremantle Dockers supporter.
Board Member: Anna Wright
Anna and her husband Gary, have three children who have all attended Notre Dame. Their daughter is currently in Year 5 with one son attending Trinity College Year 9 and the eldest son starting Curtin University this year studying a double degree in Applied Geology/Geophysics.
Over the past 14 years, Anna has been actively involved with Notre Dame School and has been a committee member on the P & F during this time. She enjoys contributing to school activities and offering support where possible.
Together with her husband Gary, Anna runs a Residential Building Company focusing on design and construction of sustainable housing in the metropolitan area.
PRC Representative: Cheryl Blanton
Cheryl has been active in the school community for many years although this is her first year as a parent representative.
Cheryl works part-time at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital as a clinical Business Analyst and part-time for a company in the health industry.
She is actively involved in Netball and has held executive positions within her netball club for past 10 years.
Cheryl and partner Craig have two daughters attending Notre Dame in Years 3 and 4. She is looking forward to contributing to the school community in her time on the School Board.
